George's Postcard Note: Near the Albaizin market place, is this moorish gate. Mysterious in its wall. I sat down to work. The street got busier with tourists and locals. A guitarist set up inside the arch, out of sight, but near enough for ambience. As I finished the painting a group of Germans stopped, looked, and rattled on to each other. Finally they told me in English that they were debating whether swallows lived in the holes in the wall. Had I seen any while painting that wall? I had not. They didn't believe me.
