George's Postcard Note: Into the Mosque - from brillant sun to dim interior. Eyes adjusted to a jumble of arches and stripes and a bombardment of columns, and finally, in the center, to the cathedral. I wandered, dazed, where to stop? where to start painting? I set up my chair amidst columns and arches and looked though series of dim arches to light filtering through a door far in the distance. Then, disaster! I spilled painting water all over the floor. Peter ran after more, got it in a men's room he found somewhere in the gloom.
