George's Postcard Note: After much hassle getting tickets we boarded the fast ferry boat across the Rio de la Plata estuary to Colonia, Uruguay. The entire city is a world heritage site and includes cobble stone street after cobble stone street of historic buildings and great views across the river basin. After a picnic lunch by the river I found this cool shady street for a sketch of this quaint city. My only interruption was the blaring campaign slogan repeating itself over and over from a small car parked at the curb. Finally, I asked the teenage driver to lower the volume (in my best Spanish) - and to my surprise and good fortune he drove away!
