George's Postcard Note: The view from the terrace of our house here could stop you in your tracks. It demands one rest and meditate and think. Our house is one of scores of interconnected stone houses making up the ancient hill town. Our view extends outward from our terrace to a center view of the village of Barga, and on to distant mountains across the valley. Light and atmospheric conditions change often, and on this day the receding valley fog and blue-green mountains created our view.
