George's Postcard Note: The Pazzi Chapel fascinates me. The complexity and grace of its renaissance proportions, with each level holding its own while working together perfectly as the structure rises. Here stone, wood, tile, stucco, tile again, and finally stone needed me to balance between lines and brushwork. Since I was at the end of my day, the light was getting darker and darker, but with that twilight glow. The tiles and stucco seemed brighter than they were, the gray stone bluer than it is.
