How can an architect not visit the country of Michaelangelo and Bernini? To visit Italy is to activate all the senses, and it begs me as an artist to try to express mine! These watercolor postcards, filled with some places new to me and some old favorites, are from Rome, Florence, and Urbino; and also from Sommocolonia, a hilltown in Tuscany, where for a few weeks we rented an ancient house with a stunning view. These postcard paintings of Italy bring back some of my favorite travel memories.
