George's Postcard Note: Little remains after 4000 years but there is a grandeur about this place. The massive, smooth-quarried stones of still-intact walls, the generous proportions of spaces like this one, called the "theater,"are just slightly mysterious. Modern eyes are not quite attuned to them. I enjoyed a fantasy of dancing Greeks stepping down the ancient staircase. The Greek postal service helped me realize it!
