George's Postcard Note: Looking north toward the high mountains across to the Main Court. In the foreground is a conduit to one of the cisterns for storing rainwater, essential for life on a dry hilltop site. Peter thinks that the large foot-shaped rock was once part of a symbolic bullhorn that decorated the palace. I’m not sure! I was interested in the bright white contrasting surfaces and sharp shadows cast by the intense noonday sun.
