George's Postcard Note: What luck to get to sit in the same place twice or thrice over the years, viewing this imposing fortress palace. Avignon was where, tomorrow, our Provence bike trip would began. Today had been a long one of traveling down from Paris, so we sat and quietly watched the afternoon sun play with the shadows of this façade. What a perfect way to relax - every table full, but with no one hurrying us – only looking curiously at this picture appearing on my pad of watercolor paper.
