George's Postcard Note: In Ceret I found this typical French town square. Like a stage set, with a green house next to a blue house next to a yellow house --- all the different colors, the balconies . . . (without the cars --- I left them out because they shouldn’t be there!) With me in the square, several older ladies gathered on a bench to talk (a lot) and knit (some). As a friend would appear, they would call out her name and she would join the group.
