George's Postcard Note: Toulouse is such an elegant city! Peter and I walked along one stretch of the canal, a linear park, lined by plane trees and handsome apartment buildings, to the lock here, where it joins the Garonne . Joggers passed us, we passed dog walkers (watching for poop on the path!), and it was an altogether pleasant afternoon.
